+1no way im registering for this RICA bs
+1 gazillionI'm contract customer with Vodacom who had my address, ID number etc for the last 11 years. Why do I need to go in to a store to go verify my details they already have.
Exactly the reason many don`t care about RICA, since it`s a joke. Infact I encourage any one to useAnd the mobile operators will "cut off" the revenues from all the rural folk who have no proof of address?? Haha!

What you going to do. Use only a land line in future?
what is the whole point of RICA? criminals will not register their sim cards they would rather rob/kill someone for a phone and use that.
So how is RICA going to help?
o very nice hey
I have to say it only took about 90 seconds.
The criminals may get away with it, but people like the hoax callers to the emergency centres may not. And that would be a good thing. Not?
The rampant paranoia in this thread is hilarious.
Cure: While registration is currently free, once the cut off date passes make it R2000 registration fee per SIM...
Your ID number isn't yours! It's the governments property as is your passport!
