Rii i25 mini remote IR not working

I recently purchased a Rii i25 mini remote https://www.takealot.com/rii-mini-i25-2-4ghz-wireless-air-mouse-keyboard-combo/PLID40729608 and I am struggling to configure the IR buttons.

I have an LG TV but when I try to map an IR button on the remote, the button doesnt store the button Im trying to map. According to the manual if the button is stored, the yellow led light on top of the remote should blink. This doesnt happen. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Damn. The price on takealot dropped and I used a voucher from the takealot voucher thread, so it worked out quite cheap. I will return it.

Got one of those for over a year now. Never tried to program it tho' ... but it's the best IR remote I ever had and have.

Think twice before returning it.

But the IR buttons dont seem to work, Ive tried multiple to program them I have requested an exchange, maybe I've got a faulty remote.

Mine swiches TV on and off.... there's a button under the 'mouse' button when I click that then the ones on top work

Do you have a genuine Rii device? Have you tested the anti-counterfeiting number on their website?

If you are looking for a cheap good quality rechargeable replacement, I would recommend this $8 airmouse/mini keyboard from GearBest. Mine has been working very well for several months and the internal rechargeable battery saves a lot in batteries. It does not support any IR devices.

Thank! Confirmed and it is a genuine device.

I exchanged the remote on takealot and the IR buttons *seems* to be working better than the older remote. I can switch the tv on and off and manged to configure one tv volume button. Having issues configuring the other 3 IR buttons. I'm not going to bother replacing the remote again. The remote works well as an airmouse.
