There have been many disgusting posts on social media about it. Most I think should be ignored under free speech regardless how distasteful, one or two cross a line and potential become threats like .

I agree with the discord groups. My wife and oldest keep it clean and running smoothly. They also host their own Minecraft server on a free host. It is invitation only. We have kicked, friends, family members from it. I don't care if those friends and family members are upset. Many of them have been told to leave when they came to visit because of their behavior. It is better because we get to be parents not some stranger in another country.

How is that different to saying girls who were mini skirts should expect to be raped.

I followed him on social media, and enjoyed listening to his debates, specifically the long format debates like he had at the Ivy League universities and his trip to Oxford as well. The guy was very level headed and a great public speaker, and was open to allowing others to share their points, even if he vehemently disagreed.

His basic values were that of Christian belief, family values, hard work and love of country. What about any of those views are so radical he should feel the need to hide behind bullet proof glass? Why should anyone with viewpoints outside the mainstream live in fear of assasination? Why is the left so inherently violent and so quick to turn to violence to silence views they don’t agree with?

His spine was severed with that impact.

When I saw the video I knew he was dead. Apart from the blood which spewed out. He was instantly "Knocked out". He didn't take a hit to the head so the only other logical thing is his neck/spine was hit.

The sentiment is slowly shifting. If Reddit doesn't adapt, they will die. There's no value in echo chambers, be it left or right. It's the same reason why Truth Social and Bluesky both flopped...

There was an amusing post a few weeks ago. Someone made a post that was pro Trump but worded the title to make it seem anti Trump. It was an image with something like "are you regretting your vote yet?" and posting all the things he's done. so many x number deported, this funding cut, etc etc.

At the very bottom, it was like "no, not regretting it at all this was exactly what I voted for" but that was not shown in the preview unless you clicked on the post and saw the full image. It got upvoted to being one of the top posts on reddit at the time.

Several MyBB forumites with laughing emojis here too. No sensitivity for a loving father and husband. Same as the shooter.

You don't kill someone for having opposing views to yourself and then purport to support free speech.
 
I think pulling the episode out of respect for the dead is the right thing to do. Not because they did anything wrong by making fun of him at the time, but it simply isn't tasteful to do it now considering what happened to him.

But the Kirk-mocking character is battling the student virtually as he sits on a toilet bowl - a dig at the real-life conservative commentator.

In another scene, 'master debater' Cartman tackles another Kirk-esque influencer hosting a rally at a college campus and takes over the show - Bible in hand.

Kirk reacted to South Park's depiction of him on his podcast - laughing off the jokes and even claiming the show 'accidently ends up spreading the gospel.'

While the episode certainly turned some heads upon release, critics have now blamed South Park for allegedly inspiring violence against Kirk.
