But sure, ill bite.. I think people who want to own guns should prove that they are proficient to own them. I dont think violent convicted criminals should be allowed to own guns of any sort.

That's it really, licensing of firearms similar to.the sort of checks we require for people who want to drive cars... Feel free to quote this to your hearts desire, especially if you think if conflicts with anything I have previously stated about guns.

Everything you've mentioned in your wall of text could be accomplished without a gun present, it's a nothingness answer and irrelevant.

There were no points raised, don't kid yourself, as I said you can remove gun in all those examples and still get a tragic outcome for all of it.

He obviously shot through the door in anger. Had he not had a gun, he would have had a chance to calm down before causing too much harm.

He could have just stomped his foot or something. Oh wait, maybe not that, but it's way less likely that she would have died. I can't believe you'd even argue otherwise.

This makes me wonder why you would carry for self defence if guns really make no difference in these situations. You might as well go around armed with a teaspoon then.
