Shame, this guy was a legend.

I saw a documentary about him once. He was actually telling "Mike Schutte" jokes himself.

He said rennies are the only sweets that don't give him "sooibrand"

Yep, rest in peace Mike, we all remember you with fondness. They sometimes called him "the Battling Blimp", but in reality he was a really nice guy. I saw him wrestle a few times and he was definitely a better wrestler than a boxer.
Another legend has gone.

Apparantly he almost got a fight with Mohammed Ali back in the 60's, so thankfully he didn't and lived another 40 years.
