Roaming on Vodacom

So Cellc is not erecting new towers in my area and the one serving this area is so congested. Vodacom erected a new tower near by about 2 weeks ago.
+- 5Mbps download speed if I force roam on it while the Cellc tower with better signal gets 0.4Mbps if I'm lucky. This 3G roaming agreement is the best thing that happened to Cellc by far.
Free whatsapp and Facebook on Cellc while roaming on a fast network Vodacom. Does not get better than that. Sadly no LTE roaming that would have just sweetened the deal

Hey All
Just joined FNB Connect Mobile a few days ago. If you don't know much about it, it's an MVNO on the Cell C network. I'm struggling to roam on Vodacom, even after having spoken to the Tech Advisors from the FNB Connect Help Line who confirmed the roaming ability, they could not help me get connected. Essentially, every time I select Vodacom-SA on my iPhone, No Service idles in my status bar for long periods of time.
So I ask you all, any suggestions?

It might be that it only allows for 2G roaming. I have noticed the the 3G roaming is not enabled for all networks. It works for Cellc contracts excluding data contracts, cellc prepaid, virgin mobile prepaid and contracts. It does not work for mvos like edgars mobile,jet mobile, me&you mobile and as you confirmed now fnb mobile.

I get 75% of signal streangth with HSPA+ on Cellc network and 100% with HSPA+ when roaming on Vodacom. I now choose to roam always.
Me too. I complained about poor coverage and I was just told to get a antenna or sponsored booster I need to spend between R5000 and R8000 a month otherwise they won't install it. So now I cost them more damage by force roaming my phone to Vodacom and make sure I use all my data each month on Vodacom 3G.

I recommend you guys get USIM replacements cause up until lat week my iPad Mini could only receive HSPA+ using Cell C. Got a USIM replacement and now I get LTE with speeds ranging between 17 - 23 MBPS. I'll send y'all a screenshot in a bit
