In the mid 1990’s Rob Hunter lectured various computer subjects at a college before embarking on a career-broadening move into hardware and peripheral support. In 1998 he joined UUNET, starting out in customer support and advancing to key roles in network operations and finally focusing on the design of UUNET SA’s core network infrastructure and security architecture.
In 2005 he joined SensePost as a senior security analyst before accepting a role in MTN Network Solutions as security lead and network engineer.
Rob then joined Neotel starting in the IP Planning department, where, amongst other things, he had responsibility for peering and international transit, after which he moved into Neotel’s Technology and Innovation division.
