Rocketnet - feedback?

It’s early days for me still (live service, Day 3) but I’ve been dealing with with RocketNet for 2-3 months already. (While waiting for my service)

The web chat system is used very efficiently and you’ll get a chat going in seconds.

You can also expect a phone call once a chat is on the go (topic dependent) which is nice.

My free router was delivered without any hiccups and with all the plastic still intact! (They try to deliver a “new” router but open the box to pre-configure it for you)

So, so far so good and I’m well impressed. Thanks RocketNet.

Please let us know if anyone else needs any more info and if we can help with anything?

will you run a promotion or something like that recently? I mean, may be, will it be free installation something like that? :p :D

and how long will that be for vumatel installation? will you charge when they after the installation? or you will charge me the installation fee or monthly fee before activated?

You pay vumatel directly, only after installation, you will get a mail with invoice from Vumatel. On the invoice you can select to pay them over 6 months, or do a once off EFT

I haven't paid vuma or Rocketnet yet, but have been using it since the beginning of the month. Payments will go off at end of the month, so make sure you have enough money in your account for that.

Rocketnet payment will be activation fee, plus 2 months of monthly fees, Vuma will be the install fee.

We offer you a R285 discount on the 100/100 package for the first 6months. Which essentially equates to Free Installation of the R1710

1) some other companies are including vumatel installation fee. I just want to ask will they do the same or not recently.

2) I want to know will they have any charge to the customer before activation, some companies did that but some don't. so I must ask clearly, even they don't bill you now it doesn't imply they don't charge you later from the date you make the order.

3) activation fee, some companies charge some don't charge. (I know they charge it now for R500)

4) If they want to have more business, don't you think they should run a promotion to boost the customer bases? (if they are including the installation fee for vumatel + activation fee, I will sign-up now. :D :D :D)

so, ==> R1095 - R285 = R810 for the first 6 months? :eek:

If I want to degarde back after 6 months, is that fine? Or how long I must stay in the same package? (ie contact, bite back policy?)

I personally think their prices are cheap enough not to worry about a promotion that gives you free vumatel installation, maybe the R500 ISP activation fee could have been removed. Every single company that includes those fees charge you a higher monthly fee, and you get shaped to hell or pay even more for unshaped. So you pay for it in any case
The routers they supply could have been better. I did not bother to take one, not worth it at all. All routers should include 5Ghz these days.

Does anyone have the WR940N here? Just wanted to know if it gives any issues and whether its worth a upgrade from the WR840N?

Hi RocketNet,

I would like to signup for 20/2 package vumatel, but I don't like the activation fee, could you please remove it out for me? :)

and I would pay the upgrade for the WR940N extra R200, deal?

Please have a response. thanks. :).
