Rocomama's: A Spur-group restaurant for those who just hate Spur.
The same people I heard boycotting Spur is still visiting Spur Group shops, some use their kids as an excuse, others are plain old hypocrites, all the same.

Specifically the Spur franchise.
I've asked for the family cards of fellow boycotters and they almost showered me. His original statement was R140 at RocoMamas which relates to the Beef ribs and aren't even listed by Spur.
For the lack of sides and the improvement in quality it's much of a muchness really.
racist!
In your own taste and opinion, how does Spur pork ribs compare to RocoMamas pork ribs? How did each taste respectively?

Haven't had the RocoMamas ribs.
But going by the general qualify of food from both offerings I'll be damned if Spur's is better than RocoMamas...even if they came from the same supplier.
RocoMamas does offer different basting options to Spur either way so there is no fair 1:1 comparison really.
Besides the food at Spur being poor and expensive, the general atmosphere is enough to spoil my meal. Those horrible fake cow seats? Not to mention horrible lacking service.
You pay for a lot more than just food. That's what makes a particular restaurant worth it or not, otherwise just get takeaways and eat at home.

Burgers and Chips are a night and day difference and RocoMamas easily wins that comparison.
The nice thing about Rocomamas, and presumably Boston Burger, is you can leave there with your dignity intact.
If you eat at the Spur and you don't have kids... well, that's just weird.
I think I'm gonna buy and baste my own ribs this weekend.
Are you a master baster?![]()
Sounds good, I may do the same, though I haven't had a texan steak in a while, may go that route.
Were you so excited that you had to repeat yourself? Are you a master baster?![]()

Built this monster at our local Roco, needless to say I've had enough for at least a year.

I don’t know, pork ribs are pretty much an Spur tradition, they hardly mess up on the consistency. I really cannot see how RocoMamas serves a better-quality pork rib than Spur, it is probably the exact same supplier and ribs served at these stores, cut into weighted portions. Basting is an option, an additional choice by the customer, what is it BBQ (which will be close to Spur basting), peri-peri and the special? I also don’t see how this adds more value than Spur when Spur is likely to provide the same quality, more quantity at a lesser price when it comes to pork ribs, other than someone really wanting to have peri-peri pork ribs.
Not a much of a muchness really, never mind a 1:1 comparison really. The big differentiator is the burgers.
Rocomamas, in my opinion, is gross.
If anyone has a Jerry's near them, try them...one of the best burgers I've tasted.
Thoroughly agreed.Like I said though, even if they were exactly the same I would rather go to RocoMamas and pay more because it's just a nicer place to be.
Then again that being said if I wanted Ribs specifically I wouldn't go to either.
