Roku 3 tips and discussions.

Thanks. Eventually started working without me knowing what I did apart from switching on and off a few times. Frustrating but worth it!
 
Someone asked if I wouldn't mind trading my Streaming stick yesterday for their new Roku 3 so I thought why not but setting it up is a nightmare of error code 013/014s… anyone else come across this?

Both my ROKU 3's were plug and play

It's brand new - I opened the box. They bought two of them and asked me to set them up but the way one of their TVs is mounted it would have meant getting a crew there to remove the 100" LCD in order to snake the HDMI cable. I'd suggested a Streaming Stick in the first place but his assistant thought otherwise.

Anyhow - I think I've isolated the problem - I can't ping my router. Now I just have to figure out why.

Well, it seems somewhere along the line I'd disabled a slew of services on my router, including ICMP. :o

The Roku is happy now.
 
is anyone else having problems with the demand 5 channel? the channel seems to load ok, when I pick a programme to watch, all i get is the "loading wheel" and the programme never starts. all other channels work fine, so do not think it's a line issue. i have reinstalled the channel but that has not fixed the problem

Same problem here.

I would check to see if it also occurs on my XBOne, but I'm toasty warm in bed and I ain't getting out.
 
Can anyone tell me the best place to order the roku 3 from? Amazon doesn't seem to deliver here when I select my delivery address.
 
When I select a South African address it says:
