B315s-916. It seems I need to jump through some serious hoops to make it work and I'm just not going to be bothered to do that, but someone has a nice deal on the streaming stick so I'll try that for a while and see if it works.
 
The rokus also need Google dns blocked for Netflix

It's fairly easy if you want to get it done, ie setting up the secondary router between you Lane devices & the Huawei. The static routes shouldn't be a problem to setup as well. Do you have a secondary router & if so what is the name and model?

I have a secondary router that's out of use now, I think it's a Telkom Netgear N300

and VERY NB: A power out / wait 30sec / power back in after changing router DNS settings. The little bastards keep DNS memory if you just reboot them via the remote.

I found this out the hard way
 
Guys what's the best app for streaming media stored in my openelec box?
Roku media player doesn't seem to manage the audio. Video looks fine.
Or could it be because it's dts or dd5.1 and TV might not be able to decode?
Fkn insurance taking so long to approve claim....
 
Don't have windows licence for my microserver...
 
Playon on the PC plus my media on the roku seems to work ok. Not ideal but hey. I don't watch local content all that much

Just verify if your router has a WAN port. Found this manual check around page 11 http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/DGN2200V4/DGN2200v4_UM_26Mar13.pdf .

-So you would just need to have a cable run from the designated WAN port on the ADSL router to any LAN port on the Huawei.
-Make sure your ADSL router's LAN network is in a different network from the B593's . If the B593 is using 192.168.1.1 then on the ADSL router use something like 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.2.1 for LAN
-Set internet connection type to WAN on the ADSL router
-Give the ADSL router's designated WAN interface a static IP in the same subnet as your B593 ( something like 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0)
-On the ADSL router set your DHCP options to include Unotelly's DNS servers when clients request IP configurations
-Connect your clients to the ADSL router's wifi / Ethernet and they will get UnoDNS settings and traffic will be routed through to the Huawei
-Optional , you can completely turn off wifi on the B593 to avoid clients connecting to the wrong Access Point which doesn't have Uno's configs


Edit: Came across another manual --> http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/DGN2200/DGN2200_UM_3Feb11.pdf check page 10, looks like there are some versions which don't support WAN internet. So just verify what you have

I got a friend bringing me a Roku 4 from the states next week.
Will the supplied power supply work in SA ?
 
Yeah. I've been using the US power supply on my Roku 3 since I got it. It's about 3 years now and still works perfectly.
 
So to access UK content will the Roku streaming stick work well enough?
