Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV

Some of us on this here thread cares, it's epic I give it that but the design is not to everyone's taste

Ahhh now that is different..

:)

But yeah, the design is rather polarising.. but the people who can afford it won't care what the plebs think.. their driver can shoo them off when they get too close :D

I think that Rolls Royce needs to be shown the error of their ways too.

I think that Rolls Royce needs to be shown the error of their ways too.

I'll give them a break, everyone wants an SUB and RR has obliged, if it means this will make sure they survive to continue making proper Rolls Royces while humouring the SUV brigade I am happy.

Stretched And Armored Rolls-Royce Cullinan Will Cost You R30 Million

The Cullinan from Rolls-Royce is their first ever SUV and as you would expect it is one of the most luxurious off-roaders ever.

Under the hood sits a twin-turbo 6.75-litre V12 good for 563 hp (420 kW) and 850 Nm of torque so you would expect the price tag to be high and it is with a MSRP of $325,000.

What if you wanted to extend the wheelbase limo-style and add on some armor protection too? Well Klassen’s offering is just what you are after but that will sting your wallet to the tune of $2.1 million (in Germany).

The official renderings reveal the final project, which adds 1,016 mm to the length of the car, stretching it to 6,357 mm, besides adding longer rear doors, a raised roofline is noticed too. The interior can be enhanced furthermore with the Bang & Olufsen sound system, partition wall, new multimedia center, ambient LED lighting and more, with most relevant functions said to be controllable via an iPhone.

The German company will also bullet proof your Cullinan, offering Level 7 and Level 9 ballistic protection, and the ‘Guard’ moniker that comes with it.

Klassen says the stretched and armored SUV will be available for grabs in 6 months after placing the order.

Rolls Royce Cullinan 2018 review

Should I buy one?

Rolls thinks the off-road ability will be used a lot. We haven’t extended the full axle articulation, but did take it on steep tracks, across loose rocks, and icy paths, where it was convincingly unflustered. Rolls talks about the ‘last mile’ for drivers – that tricky bit at the end of a journey away from a road, to a ski resort, a desert lodge, a shoot, where owners will expect it to get them with some ease.

Ultimately, then, this big car is a Rolls-Royce at heart. Less outwardly dynamic but more comfortable than a Bentley and far more luxurious than the most expensive Range Rover. It looks like a Rolls-Royce, feels like one, drives like one and, at £250,000 before you start adding options, of which you can choose a lot, is priced like one. Controversial? Only, I suspect, for people who weren’t ever going to be interested anyway. If you want one, in its execution it hits the spot entirely.
