Perfect example is to look at last season when Barca finished 3rd. The club that finished 2nd is now laying 6th. That club who is laying 6th, United could not beat them over two legs.

The reason why the EPL is the more popular hass to do with money and nothing else. In the EPL all you can do is imagine what if this and what if that.

It is currently a reality in Spain. The top 4 in England are untouchable.
 
Last season wasn't good for Barca, they were changing managers, having fights etc... over an average Barca and Madrid are by far the most dominant in La Liga.

I was only saying what if this and what if that to put how 2 extra dominant clubs in a league make a huge difference into perspective.

That may be true, but Barca failed to beat a team lying third in the EPL so whats your point:confused: and Why was there three English clubs in the semis instead of 3 Spanish sides:confused:

How can you say that the man is wrong when he makes a valid point ,I agree with Deanstein that there are only 2 dominant teams in La liga which is Barca and Real ,where as in the EPL there are 4 teams ,La liga's 3rd and 4th and 5th positions will always be changing just like the EPL's 5th ,6th and 7th positions
 
Do you watch La Liga deanstein?

If you do you would know that when you watch a La Liga match, you never know who will win. Of course the top 4 on average would win but it is most times a very close battle.

Espanyol, who is currently laying last on the log - beat Barca this season. Numancia who is second from last beat Barca as well.

I think it has to do with the attacking mentality of the teams in Spain. Every team goes out to attack and try to win games. Thats why i think it is entertaining.

I love all the leagues, i just prefer watching La Liga's teams play football.

I agree, England are doing well in Europe but dont make it out as if they are far superior to the rest of Europe.
 
I dunno lately Real has been a dumping ground for non spanish - over their prime - players... look at Ruud, Zidane, Cannavaro, Zambrotta, (both moved cos they wanted CL action), Beckham, Heinze, Dudek, etc

Ruud has been doing great as well.

Of course i watch La Liga and i love watching La Liga. Very close battle? i strongly disagree. Any man on the street can see that purely by having a look at the goal difference in La Liga. I know you said earlier that barca even have a 30 goal GD in the CL... but whoever thought they would get an aggregate of 10 goals (or whatever it was) against a great Bayern Munich team!!

CL matches (and FA cup) can easily be won by teams who play better on the day. Thats what is so good about winning a league; it requires consistency. For example United have lost twice as many games as LP this season yet they still ahead simply because LP lack consistency. So you cant really compare CL matches (playing on the day) to league matches (playing consistantly)

Okay so here is the other installment to my argument:
What does it mean when a team lying fourth in the EPL beats...or dare I say trashes a team lying second in La Liga

Math equivalent:

EPL1=LL6
EPL3=LL1
EPL4>LL2
thus EPL wins

Why cause 1=6 and 3=1 but 4 is greater than 2 and 4 belongs to EPL....:D

EDIT: Now whose the Genius (always wanted to say that)

Of course you cannot compare a cup comepetition to the league. I use the Villerreal example because United fielded their very first team compared to when they played Everton in the FA Cup.

Barcelona played Villerreal 2 weeks after they played United. Villerreal fielded the same team and Barca beat them 6 - 1.

Thats why i say, dont be fooled in judging La Liga standards because of Barcelona's goal difference. The current Barca team was built to attack, yes they have a weakspot in defence but thats because they are designed to attack. Thats why they have scored so many goals.

Also a reason why Chelsea played so defensive against them. Cos they could not play a open game, they would lose 4 - 0.

Have you seen Chelsea play like that in the EPL before? Camping 10 players in the box. I have never ever saw them play like that, EVER.

But they had to, or they would have conceded buckets of goals.

different strokes for different folks ;)

United doesn't go to Stanford bridge with the intention of scoring 20 goals... so Mentality between any team in the EPL vs any other EPL team is different

Barca only uses 1 strategy every game GO in there and score me 2000 goals! oh crap we only scored 6 and conceeded 2 oh well we still won :D

Genius let me ask you, is it exciting to see a team score 5 goals in 2 minutes and then nothing happens for the rest of the 88 minutes?
 
I have never seen a team score 5 goals in two minutes. I would be amazed if that were to happen :D

Barca's strategy works for them. We stand a chance of winning the Treble. Why change a winning strategy? Brazil used it and it worked as well.

Seriously, i like goals. Who doesnt? If a team goes out and attacks, for me it is damn entertaining.

Its 90 minutes of pure entertainment. What you are talking about happens in the EPL.

You score 2 goals and then you sit back and the game is done. I dont like that.
