Almunia fouled Rooney. It is a penalty. If the ref believed it was scoring chance then he would of given him a red. He however agreed with you that the ball was going out of play and that Rooney would not have retrieved the ball had he not been fouled. The ref still rightly gave the penalty.

ya but all these IF's. IF Alumina had not dived in from 1/2 step away rooney COULD have controlled the ball and gotten into a scoring chance BUT THEN the defender would have had him covered.

IF Rooney did not go down
IF that defender dived and took the ball out

Look, the bottom line is - I dont blame the ref for the penalty. If i was the ref, i would have probably given a penalty as well.

The OP asked if Rooney dived. Video evidence reviewing the incident CLEARLY shows that Rooney did in fact dive.

Your point is?

It is true, the football world paints Ibra as a football God in Italy. Nothing wrong with saying that, it is the truth!

Looking at my original post, where did i say Ibra is a football God? In my post i said i never really rated him, where as journo's always rated him so very highly.

I must admit, i have taken a liking to him but he is no where near Messi's level. I am sure he will improve and win everybody over, he needs time.
