Routing problem on Telkom's ISP?

Oh, ok. Now I got you ;)

Anyone care to explain the SAIX issue?

Merenwenrago, thank you for the information - how did you find that out?

by using speed tests and using starcraft and noticed asia server was running faster than europe and US
also tracerts helped a lot

The Difference was huge China = 200 or less ms but EU, UK, US were 400 ms to 700 ms

also telkom just confirmed they trying to fix the asia proxy problem

Why would anyone want to use a Chinese proxy???

when asking telkom they had no idea why they were using it :P

my guess is one of chinese workers in telkom wanted to access his chinese websites and changed proxy to china then forgot to change it back to UK

That's so funny! Sounds like an isp I was using in Austria when I lived there :D

last time it was a cleaning lady who accidently pulled out server plug to use her vacuum cleaner and forgot to plug server back in so we had no internet for a few days in PMB and durban

:) is there any official news release regarding this?

think it was more like inside information

happened while back cant remember the date

crap, nothing I can show my clients then .... not that I thought I could.
thank you anyway.

well if the witness would publish my letter in paper you could show them that :P been waiting a week now

When on a non-Telkom connection, what would the easiest way be to test this issue?

Ok, now I got a Vodacom/3G error report stating that my host is blocking all traffic from Telkom IPs .... hmm
Apparently my hoster's server is blocking anything from the 41.x.x.x - Call me sceptical but I just don't think so ....

Can anyone please point me to the IP range that Telkom users use?

well Telkom are blocking my wife's emails hosted at @Lantic.co.za now!
I now have to use my Axxess connection to get these emails! OMG
At least I can access my email server is USA no problem.

Looks like Telkom are out to get anyone and everyone in every respect!
