It was a bit crass, I apologise. I'm just extremely miffed at the whole reaction to the suicide and the blame apportioned to the DJs. If this woman had no pre-existing conditions then she is an idiot, finish and klaar.
Maybe a bit crass, but I have to agree with the point you're bringing across.
Honestly, people make far bigger blunders all the time and you don't see them offing themselves. It's a JOB. Someone who takes their own life because they mistook a caller for someone else simply cannot be in a healthy state of mind. I would think it's fair to assume that when you're calling a professional establishment (especially a hospital) the staff would be mentally stable.
Obviously there is no "proof" of her suffering of some kind of condition, but sheesh... isn't her committing suicide proof enough that there was something seriously wrong with her?
I just cannot comprehend how people are laying the blame squarely on the DJs for the nurse's completely irrational behavior.
If a young kiddo plays "tok tokkie" at an old granny's house (he doesn't know who lives there) down the road and the old lady falls and dies on the way to the front door, will we also have people condemning the child that he should've known better than to play pranks with the elderly?
