Maybe a bit crass, but I have to agree with the point you're bringing across.
Honestly, people make far bigger blunders all the time and you don't see them offing themselves. It's a JOB. Someone who takes their own life because they mistook a caller for someone else simply cannot be in a healthy state of mind. I would think it's fair to assume that when you're calling a professional establishment (especially a hospital) the staff would be mentally stable.

Obviously there is no "proof" of her suffering of some kind of condition, but sheesh... isn't her committing suicide proof enough that there was something seriously wrong with her? :confused:

I just cannot comprehend how people are laying the blame squarely on the DJs for the nurse's completely irrational behavior.

If a young kiddo plays "tok tokkie" at an old granny's house (he doesn't know who lives there) down the road and the old lady falls and dies on the way to the front door, will we also have people condemning the child that he should've known better than to play pranks with the elderly?
 
1st woman ever to commit suicide over a prank call, now its all the DJ's fault.

Without a clear idea of this womans previous psychological disposition, nobody can actually blame the DJ's, that call could have been the cherry on top, or it may have had nothing to do with it. Maybe something internally at the hospital set it off, maybe the royal's security company threatened her etc.

To blame the DJ's is absolutely pathetic, get off your supposed moral high ground and emotional rollercoaster ride. There are more important things going on seriously. Nothing is going to happen to the DJ's, nothing at all, so get over it. It is sad that this happened, but its something that could never have been predicted or planned for. Maybe next time people who take prank calls wont take it so personally and we wont have to listen to this rubbish again.

A woman took a prank call regarding an update on a patient, then she commits suicide.. really? There is something more going on that we dont know about, otherwise as mentioned above, she was stupid enough to commit suicide.

You know what would make life more simple, do away with the royal family and british monarchy. Current times dont warrant a king or queen, why the hell is it still going?
 
I've read most of the published stories online but not one mention WHAT they pranked her with

I'm betting she had previous mental issues and that this was just the straw that broke the camel's back
 
I also suspect Kate was in hospital for more than just "extreme morning sickness". "drug overdose" or "attempted suicide with pills" is more like their style.

Also willing to bet she loses the kid in the next 10 weeks and the country will mourn etc etc etc.
 
i have just watched and listened to the video of the 2 dj's bing interviewed about the whole thing. while i do sympathise with them as they, along with anyone else who may pull a prank, do not expect someone to take something like this to the extreme, i do feel that the 2 of them over stepped their boundaries. this was not some local yokal person in the hospital and they already knew about the hounding of princess diana so why did they do this is beyond me. when i read about it i just thought it was rude of them to have done it and they had no right whatsoever to have made the call at all.

yesterday morning sky news reported that scotland yard had already been on contact with the australian police. haven't heard anymore about the investigation as of today but it was stated that they would be doing some investigation into this.

besides all of this, reading that they didn't get permission to publish the call, they shouldn't have done so to begin with. these radio stations or whoever have to get the person's permission to air any call so why they went ahead with it is just beyond me.
