Royal Prank Nurse

The British Press and TV news channels must take some blame they probably analysed the event over and over
telling viewers and readers how could this nurse disclose such private details. The media crucified this lady making
her life a living hell they must of made her feel so worthless and a disgrace to her nursing profession. Her only way
out of the shame was to take her own life.

Look at the South Africa position now Nelson Mandela in Hospital who will be camping outside the world media but the British media will try take centre stage. All the time proposing the what-if's Will he die what will happen to SA will our constitution hold tight evacuation plans for British citizens.

Hardly seen any coverage on Sky and BBC. Even now the headlines are dominated by Egypt, crap weather which is going to hit on Monday. BBC is showing a segment on gang violence in the Cape Flats.....

lets get realistic here. these celebrities are in the lime light every day having their photo's taken and being interviewed constantly. they have a team behind them supporting them with body guards and they are protected every single day of their lives. it is a life they chose and they knew from the day they chose this life what it entailed.

this nurse did not choose the "celebrity" life. she was shoved into the spotlight by these 2 idiots with no back up support whatsoever. she was hounded by the media and basically she didn't know how to handle the situation.

what would you do if you are suddenly faced with something like this? something you hadn't chosen for yourself in your life? no one there in your corner to help with the sudden fame and glare of the public.

BS

You take leave and go on a ****ing holiday. You don't off yourself.

 Not due to her? I am sure the hospital would have obliged.
Seems maybe she was unstable to begin with?

SHE WAS STANDING IN FOR SOMEONE ELSE WHO WASN'T THERE TO BEGIN WITH!!! WHAT MORE DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND!!! SHE WAS A NURSE STANDING IN FOR A RECEPTIONIST.

BY TYPING IN CAPITALS LETTERS DOES NOT MEAN I WILL HEAR IT ANY LOUDER. SHE SHOULD HAVE HAD THE TOOLS TO DEAL WITH THIS, EVEN MORE SO BEING A NURSE, EVEN MORE SO BEING A STAND IN, IT WAS NOT HER JOB.
GET IT?

you only want to hear YOUR reasoning EVER and no one else's. you want to be the only one who has an opinion and that is it. anyone else's opinion doesn't matter to you. if you take note of the history of the case, it may not have been her job but that day it WAS her job to take the calls on reception area. she was assigned to do so. if you get told to do something in your job then you must do it hence the reason for her taking the call. i guess you haven't been reading up on the matter but just picking up tid bits.

Jeeez man did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed??
This is what a forum is, debating, I do not agree with you. Why should I just accept your opinion?? My god in heaven.
I have an opinion just like you and I am not demanding you change yours.

Take a chill pill.

the point is, is that i see both sides of the debate but you don't marine. it's your way or the highway with you. and that's when i don't want to see anything else but MY way. you need to say ok sometimes.

so take your big shiny, self decorated crown off and step off your throne and join the debate.

Things generally are very black and white with me, left or right, ying or yang.
I am always up for discussion, I am not for one minute saying she got what she deserved.
Come on man ffs.
All I'm saying is I find it bizarre someone who is a nurse, perhaps in a very high pressure job to begin with, could of, should have dealt with this differently.
What does it take to kill oneself?
Its surely no easy decision and I would think that person may be unstable to begin with.
That is my opinion, not fact and I do not make anyone believe or accept my opinion that's why its MY opinion.

Hell for all we know she could have been murdered.

I believe that the journalists are able to be tried in an English court. It all depends on the Australian authorities, since to be able to be extradited, the crime they would be charged with must also be a legislated offence in Australia. I am pretty sure it it not.

What I find bizarre is the cop out from you Celine.
So what you are saying is if I being a highly skilled professional, am asked to do a less prof. Job at work and I screw up royally (no pun intended ) then I kill myself, its someone elses fault?
To a degree perhaps it was wrong to put me there but its not a very complicated job, if she was asked to perform surgery and killed someone then yes I agree with you. The hospital or someone else would be to blame.

All this and the main thing is overlooked, someone is now dead. And that us terrible

This time of the month :D

Could you at least try to put yourself in her position, can you try to be empathetic to this poor person.
She was the victim here, and now you are in effect saying "She was mentally unstable".

I wonder by myself why do so many people have such low standards to think a joke like this is appropriate?

Please, just think about this:
In some of the comments the CEO made about the DJ's halting their show for now, he made a statement about them
not being machines, they're human and have feelings. They have even been placed on suicide watch.

Do you not see the irony here? They just made a prank call, so why are they on suicide watch if they didn't do anything wrong?
Or do they perhaps have remorse now because they realize that their actions were the catalyst which ultimately led to this nurse being unable to cope?

People have feelings and will react to pranks in a multitude of ways, often very negative ways.
What makes me worry about you is that it seems you some people are bereft of feelings and emotionally
immature, that lack the ability to see the consequences an action results in. All they can do is react in
anger to when people question the lowest levels of entertainment that sustains them.

At what point was trying to get confidential medical information from a hospital considered a good idea? They KNEW that someone would take backlash for giving them any information, but they did it anyway. No regard for other people at all. I hope that they understand that they are partially responsible for the poor nurses death. She must have been getting razzed every day, and her children, and her partner. How could they? Selfish and inconsiderate annoying humans!!

Lets let them off the hook eh - after all, they only intentionally deceived a health care worker into divulging highly personal information about one of the world's most high-profile figures - what possible harm could have come from that idea?

Do you think Jacintha received the help and support these two DJ's are now receiving? You just expect that she should have been able to cope. Not everyone has strong alpha personalities like you do. Please consider other people too.

all this woman did was transfer the original call, she spoke to the DJ for all of what, about 10 seconds?

what's happened to the other nurse that actually handled the call and gave out information, has she committed suicide? is she on suicide watch? I haven't seen a media frenzy about her

Have you ever listened to that Whackhead wally or watched a Leon Schuster movie?
