RSAWEB Price Increase on BF Special

I am currently on the BF special with RSAWEB where I am paying R685 pm for the Vumatel FTTH 500/200Mbps Uncapped line. Was promised that the price would remain that for the first 12 months.
My statement for June now shows an invoice for R1,039.13.

Anyone else with RSAWEB whose BF deal was cancelled prematurely?
 
Had exactly the same, Except mine came to R1195.00 Have you had any luck fighting this?
 
I also had the same problem, 200/200 BF deal R585 + 3months free. The upped my price to R1085 and I still have not received my 3 months free. Tickets raised get closed with no action. I asked to reduce my speed and they want me to pay R579 extra, not only that when I asked to downgrade to 25/25, They said I could only downgrade to 50/50, but today they have an ad on Mybroadband advertising 25/25 packages. I have raised so many tickets but get ignored all the time. Their ad is misleading in so many ways that I would like Mybroadband to investigate them.

Why not moved if the service is non existent.. Rocketnet are 439 for a 25/25..simple... Take your wallet elsewhere
 
I got a switching fee of R1000.00 so I suspect they will nail me for that.

Connection fee:R995 inc. VAT + promotional clawback: R3570 inc. VAT
Total:R4565 inc. VAT.
Downgrade fee R595
Had a look at the contract wording unfortunately I'm locked in till Jan 2024

With these BF specials.. How long does the promotion last for?... 12 months?
 
I hate RSAWeb. Avoid like the plague. If you’ve made the unfortunate mistake of signing up with them then it’s expensive to cancel within a year, but I went ahead and did it anyway after 6 months because I just couldn’t take it anymore.

I won’t miss an opportunity to warn a fellow human being against the horrible experience of being an RSAWeb customer.

A few years ago I had a mobile sim with them for few months, I then cancelled as I didn't require it anymore. I kept getting endless status mails, unsubscribe many times, tired mailing many them told I was off the list.
In end I opened a case with ISPA, it definitely helped, I was very pleased with the support from ISPA. They managed to do, what I hadn't mange to get right over 8 months in 2 weeks.
 
I am in the same boat.Signed up to the 200mb/200mb BF deal offere and then I got a message 6 months later to say they are increasing my fees by almost 95%

I contacted the ISPA for mediation in the matter.I don't mind a 10% -15% increase for the remaining year but a 95% is ridiculous.

Did you guys sign up after the 28th November 2022 perhaps?

VUMA were very specific about when they would apply the cutoff for this promo to ISPs, so if your ISPs still had the promo advertised and took and processed your order after the VUMA cutoff date then this is probably is what caused your issue.

Lucky you. Their website quotes me 959 for 100/100. As much as I'd love to dump Afrihost, this is not worth it.

Competition isn't really strong.

the R500 for the 500/200 connection was a Black Friday promo running last year
a few ISPs ran that deal for +-6 days only over the BF weekend
