RT news channel cut from DStv

What happened to the 3 new DStv channels thread posted earlier..?? Was still replying to that and then it vanished..

Too bad, only western propaganda bombardment left for us now,SA is a neutral country in the conflict, our constitution quararantees freedom of expression and choice
DSTV used their freedom of expression and choice to dump RT. It's DSTV, so almost certainly a commercial decision due to petitions or complaints that it was on their platform - (perhaps even as an excuse to further cut channels and costs too?) Edit: perhaps not even their choice some are implying.

Having said that - as someone 100% against the Russian invasion, it's always good to know what those you don't agree with or even strongly oppose are saying.

Not a subscriber so nonplussed, but most news channels are available all over the internet anyway - including RT.

I think DSTV would have wanted to continue airing it.

This. Got myself a big bag of salt over the weekend and sat switching between CNN/Sky/BBC/RT/Al Jazeera etc

Been doing that for years with news sites - those plus MSNBC and FOX as well as news sites ranging from far left to far right. Have to hold my nose every morning when whizzing through sites like The Sun, Express and Daily Mail etc.
Only thing I'm sure of, is that none are free of bias, but seeing both sides of the divide helps to draw own opinions.

They actually had Paula Slier who was one of the best SA Journos and was a class combat reporter so not all their reporters were bad but she was probably limited in what she could do.

All western media ^? I think not.

Freedom of expression - well according to WPR, South Africa sits at a score of 0.63.
Countries that are considered better in this department are the likes of those "western propaganda" countries ..... such as Denmark, France, Canada, Italy Germany, UK, Switzerland, USA ............ ( Western media countries as you say).

Should this not fit your comment, you are welcome to take it up with them.

I don't think there is a single true thing in this entire paragraph. Remarkable actually.
