Woohoo! Who says transformation is not happening? All we need is time! I'm willing to bet over the next 10 years the spending power will be in the hands of the majority, thus fulfilling transformation! Now lets boost education to make the growing wealth and spending power sustainable :)

Good. The bigger the middles class the better.

Awesome! That might just ease a lot of peoples minds.
It'll mean that BEE and AA will have to be scrapped and a bigger educated middleclass might just be good for democracy.

It's all good, a large and influential middle class suggests future political stability, They're educated professionals earning reasonably well and will now make up a fair percentage of the tax paying individuals. They, now, have lots to lose and will hold the government of the day accountable should their future prospects be jeopardized by poor governance...

Unfortunately this middle class is not known for turning up in numbers at the polls. They are mostly complacent, contented, apolitical individuals that are too concerned with bettering their own lives.

/clap. Well said.

Now as soon as everyone will actually work and produce without political agenda then it will be sustainable.

Perhaps, but if poor governance continues they might feel compelled/motivated to vote in the upcoming election...

Source? How much of that is debt fueled I wonder?

Rudo Maponga, Black Diamond research manager at TNS Research Surveys, said that, despite perceptions, the black middle class is not highly indebted. Almost half of them have a debt to income ratio of less than 50 percent.

Looks like the black middle class is growing well.

What saddens me is how they are not fueling future generations by improving the education system. :(

Good. :)

Even if they don't vote they'll still have political influence. What this country really needs is a black middle class IMO.
