SA online shops tested

Clearly they've never heard of Google Maps etc.

I think their drivers drive on "feel" and "instinct" that is why they never find the delivery addresses. It is beyond me that a big courier company cannot supply its driver with the most basic gps devices.

Just downloaded the Kalahari app, states clearly "twice" that delivery is free for orders over R250 that is BS! Placed an order with them and it comes up with R65 delivery fee. I called the call centre and some Dick head says it is in the T & C yet it does not mention anything in the write up of the android app to read the T & C's. So Kalahari as far as I am concerned I will give you a miss, can't stand being cheated.

Great test.

Shipping times are also dependent on whether the store currently have stock on hand, or have to order in the item. For us I see we had to order the stock in, which added the extra day.

For a future test I would suggest one you placie a order for an In Stock item, and then another order where one item has to especially ordered for you.

This would help test the backroom systems of the retailers involved.

This is awesome to see your feedback here.

I pre-ordered the Mortal Kombat X Kollector's Edition (can't wait!) from you guys today. I've never heard of you guys and only found you through Google. So I was very skeptical ordering it. But replies like the above make me feel a lot safer with my purchase!

Thank you for your pre-order EtienneK.

Google is pretty amazing at finding stuff on one's site, as we only made it available to pre-order less than an hour before you placed your order.

Unlucky with Kalahari there.. In stock items, if I order before 12, I normally get my goodies delivered to my desk by the next day. And I'm in East London.

Take-a-Lot on the other hand has a useless delivery company. i.e. Mr Delivery.

I think Kalahari is not that bad, I haven't had a bad experience with them

Kalahari is my first choice for on-line purchases. I live in a small town which has very limited walk-in stores which stock & sell the items want to buy, so online is the cheapest option for me.
The courier company took a while to find me with the first order I placed, but I am now a regular buyer with Kalahari online, and the couriers know where I am now

You must be new here. :p

Wait until you see the weekly tech "deals".
