I see, you struggle with this concept. No they didn't, the second largest part of the GNU didn't vote with them, the ANC voted for themselves, as they always do.

Plus why don't we say the ANC didn't vote with the GNU if the second largest party within it had a different idea?
Or once again does the ANC not understand it's not the majority and cannot push itself around anymore? Oh wait with it's lackies it can still.

It's the GNU's way mnganam, the DA simply cannot have it both ways, if they were wise they would stop wasting time and lead the way in coming up with solutions that would be a sanction to themselves instead of just leaving it to the other GNU partners, John must lead the way and engage with Cyril.

But the ANC voted against the GNU, how dare they... The DA is the second largest party within the GNU and the ANC voted against them again. How dare they... Surely the ANC should suffer now, they went against the GNU.

Just remember the ANC voted against the GNU, they should be punished. How dare they rally other parties to support them outside the GNU, they didn't even consider their GNU partners considerations, just steamed rolled ahead. This is how it is and how it should be played.
Not even sure how you'd spin this as the DA bad, the ANC is the one who steam rolled things again.

But the DA isn't having it both ways, the ANC is trying to have it both ways.

The ANC wasted everyone's time and made everyone poorer. You are celebrating that Verashni, just accept that you are celebrating YOUR GLM celebrating making every single citizen of this country poorer.

Clearly the DA doesn't want to leave the GNU and clearly Cyril and everyone sees the need for them to remain in the GNU.

They must lead the way in sanctioning themselves, first step is to drop that frivolous court case to show that they are acting in good faith.

The ANC deserves to be punished for their betrayal, 4 ministerial positions need to be handed over to the DA, plus 6 deputy, only punishment worthy.

But the ANC needs to be punished for their betrayal, how would the DA dropping their court case help that? We need to get the ANC punished for their betrayal.

At the very least, I think they should also assign 35% of their votes to the DA as penance.

How is the court case frivolous if its used to clarify how that committee meeting is supposed to function and happen within the confines of the law?

Or don't you like that your GLM is being held accountable to some level for there betrayal and disdain for the citizens of the country?

I would start smaller at 20% at least, just as a penance for their stuff up. As clearly they aren't showing remorse for their brash and underhanded betrayal, plus still painting their thievery as benefiting the poor.
