The problem is whoever collapses the GNU first, will get totally shat on. Naturally, DA wants to taunt ANC into doing so. Otherwise, if DA leaves, we'll get endless crying for the next three, four years.

The DA are playing a strategic game here -- I know some of you want them to leave the GNU but obvious they have their reasons (probably backed up by their polling they do) that if they leave then their share of the vote will probably decrease. On the other hand, if the ANC kick them out, they will get a polling boost.
 
Let the paid influencers deal in their snark and sarcasm. The DA will continue to govern. None of the paid snark peddlers have experienced total governance collapse so it's easy to sit on your high horse and tell the DA to collapse this, collapse that, leave this, leave that. Just like @TheChamp after the 2024 elections, they will all disappear into the void when the DA makes an election clean sweep due solely to them completely out-maneuvering the ANC in their ministerial portfolios.

As a DA votah I unfortunately have to agree with you. The optics are shyte. They need to get on with whatever they are going to do now and deal with whatever the consequences are.
They are starting to come across as that irritating little stoep-kakkertjie you wish you could ignore or deliver over the fence with a swift kick.

perhaps not remained quiet, but they would have chosen more "diplomatic" approaches rather than go aggressive

it would still be BS of course, any corrupt POS should be nailed to the cross double quick regardless of political objectives, but this is Africa ...

not leave the GNU, just grow a pair and table a motion of no confidence ... they don't have the guts to do it, and the irony is the longer they delay in order to locate their balls, the lower the odds will be of that motion succeeding

the best time to table that motion was back in March, the next best time was last week, every passing day is worse timing than the day before

f-em, weak milk toast pretend leaders who's principles are negotiable just like all politicians, there's a reason they lost my vote two elections ago already

I trust that the DA has a strategy to maximise damage to the ANC. It might be frustrating that they are not pulling the trigger now, but I'm guessing they have looked at the situation holistically and know exactly when to pull the trigger.

I maintain my assertion: they don't have the guts to pull the trigger, and because of that they've already missed the best opportunity to do so
