That would apply to everyone else who tries to make the ANC look bad, whatever their track record is. You have to apply the same standard that you hold others to, to yourself. It's either we stop poking fun at the ANC, or acknowledge that he has his views and is allowed to poke fun back. Can't have it both ways.

He's definitely not the same as Malcolm...

There is a difference between having a back and forth about two political parties performance and championing bad policy because it massages your ego. The first is fine, the second is nonsensical.

Remind us this, remind us that.

Do you now understand why I annoy you much? You are a gang and you expect everyone to conform to your gang's principle, that's the only reason you and the rest of the gang feel I am disturbing your peace.
haaha... because you know admitting ANC did a bad for everybody and you can't admit DA was good. lol You will rather make everyone poor than admit ANC is poop

His party? This right here is the problem as I see it... Some have sworn allegiance to these organisations. I used to vote ANC but voted DA in the most recent election simply because it is evident that the ANC doesn't serve South Africa's interests. Rich or poor...
He has admitted to voting DA in the past himself. So, while he supports he ANC now he's not all that married to them. There are more DA and FF+ devouts here than ANC. Die hard DA fans who support them like their favourite sports team.

Guys, as flattering as it is, can we get back on topic and stop discussing people, what if you don't like what I say here? I also don't like what other people say but waking up in the morning and discussing them just look pathetic.
Comrade, you got support from some unexpected quarters today. Just enjoy the day. It is Friday after all.

No. I enjoy lefty loons looning. Leave them be!

Comrade, did you also vote for uBaba?

Agreed but both sides are at fault. Didn't see anyone complaining about the city cleaning levy that Cape Town wants to charge, but everyone is up in arms when Tshwane wants to do it. There's lots of other examples.

The reason why our political parties behave like immature kids is because their supporters do. You can't have a debate without anyone becoming defensive and going whatabout.

DA supporters needs to acknowledge bad decisions, and likewise ANC supporters. It's the only way we can start holding these idiots accountable and empowering ourselves to change our vote if needed. The way it currently is is that people are inclined to vote one way just to stick it to the other side, rather than improving their own lives...

But they are making me shy, I feel like the boy being made to stand up in class as the teacher makes an example of what an ideal learner should look like, I just don't do well with that sort of attention.

They're a bunch of witous. Next time whip out your BBC. They'll shut up pretty quick after that.

So I'd be annoyed if I lived in CoCT about that charge, but they did at least try and explain it away even if the explanation might be bollocks.

It also raises a question as to whether this idea in Tshwane is a DA one that was being floated before they got ejected.

The DA is very good at selling. They can make the dumbest thing sound reasonable to even rational people. Their spin doctors and communications machinery really are world class...

They should employ better strategy people to complement the spin machine. Their engagements with the ANC have been terrible. They got raw deal in the GNU, Lesufi dribbled them in Gauteng. They have been stumbling like bumbling fools trying to recover from those missteps.

True but propaganda is inevitable in today's world and one could argue that it is done to counter the propaganda from other parties.

If one is fairly neutral, one can see DA has many people that have delivered results. Schreiber for example for GNU - only problem I found with him was that he tried to take credit for something his predecessor did. He really didn't have to do that. Of late, he has not done it so he probably learned from that. Pappas has done some good work in muni. Brink did quite well while he was around.

I really struggle to find such names in ANC ministry/local municipalities. I could mention a specific name in Gauteng but that will not be useful as he is the most hated person after Zuma here. LOL.

No matter who their strategy people are, those results wouldn't have changed. The ANC don't negotiate in good faith, we've seen this time and time again, also when you negotiate with the ANC who are you negotiating with given there are wildly different competing ideologies in that "party".

And since we have now warmed up to the cleaning tax after the DA introduced it in Cape Town, I still insist there is nothing wrong with it in principle, whether it is in Tshwane or CT, the new government of Tshwane has proven to everyone that they take financial management very seriously, even to the hard to please DA supporters who are still crying for Cilliers Brink.

The revenue collection is improving, they are sticking to debt repayment agreements, they have improved cash reserves. The MMC for environment has been hard at work cleaning the filth in the city, there is totally no reason to doubt their intentions with the cleaning tax, it will be used the way it's intended to be used.

To be fair anyone would struggle to negotiate with the ANC when they believe they are still in charge. ASA, Bosa and Rise are about to learn that the hard way.

Sometimes you have to take a few losses for the sake of some stability. I think they learnt their lesson from Gauteng, which is why they stuck to their guns on the budget and didn't vote without a written agreement.

Part of the issue with the GNU negotiations was the constitution itself, where you need to constitute a government within 2 weeks or whatever. It leaves very little time for negotiation and getting written agreements into place. This worked to the ANC's advantage in Gauteng where they could negotiate after the fact...
