I'm not even going to share the tweet, though, since it was only one sentence in the press release, and the rest is just the usual ANC waffle.

Cilliers Brink is a former Mayor, and still a member of council, he can easily verify or dispute them, why do you think he has instead opted to quietly disappeared from the scene?

While I don't personally have an issue with Nasiphi Moya's procession on the day of the State of the City Address, I am very sceptical of the claims made in any tweet of Michael Beaumont's. I mean, just a week ago he tweeted that ASA had scrapped the VAT hike. I'm not sure anyway if the mere presence of city officials such as police officers and firefighters actually cost the city any money, so in my view, it's much ado about nothing. But let's wait a few days to hear if Beaumont's figures are challenged. He only made the tweet yesterday as far as I can see.

It’s okay if you can’t find a single person from the ANC apologizing. I thought that would be the case.

Yup. I would consider what ASA posts as factual. These are the same clowns that voted for VAT increases - without realizing it. Hardly the sharpest tool in the shed.

That's actually a very constructive post unlike @Priapus deflection.

The best way for the DA to finish what they started is to prove that there was an unnecessary waste of money on Nasiphi's parade compared to Cilliers Brink.

Hill Lewis lit the fire while sitting comfortably in Cape Town, it is now up to Cilliers Brink to deal with the fire.

Can Cilliers Brink as a former Mayor tell us how much his parade cost?
And since he is still in the Tshwane council he would also be in a position to prove that Beaumont is lying on the cost of this year's parade.

Looks easy enough to me, what's the holdup about? Surely it costs way less without the horses and the helmets and he would derive so much pleasure in putting Beaumont in his place?

I never deflected. I asked you a question and you deflected with “Bur DA BAD” mantra and finished with “no you first”.

I was willing to agree with your narrative; if you could find a single ANC apologizing - that would demonstrate that you’re not biased or of having double standards.

Now, if those figures quoted are true (we don’t know yet) then yes, those two need to apologize.

There is one question to ask here mnganam, where is Cilliers Brink refutal of the figure Beaumont has posted?

Stop holding on to the apology thing, let me make it easy for you, no apology needed, can Cilliers Brink just confirm or deny the figures as posted by Beaumont?

Now, about this idea of refuting — why exactly should they waste time responding to ASA, a party whose entire strategy is built around “DA BAD” propaganda? What kind of meaningful exchange do you think would come from that?

Would you seriously expect the Gauteng premier to engage with a 1% party that’s been lobbing cheap shots just to get a rise out of him?

Since when is being accountable to the public about the use of their money a waste of time?

The request is simple mnganam, can Cilliers Brink confirm or refute the costs of the Mayoral Parade as posted by Beaumont?
