So I agree.. We don't need DMs.. But we don't need more process to appoint or remove them, just so away with the position.

But we don't need more process around things, it's more of an opportunity for shenanigans.

If you can’t rely on the President to remove corrupt and incompetent cabinet members, then he/she is the person who should be MONC’d. And if that doesn’t happen, then the electorate should vote their party out. That is how the system is designed, and I would say it’s broadly working, albeit way too slowly

Considering that most of their citizens are not in the country legally , what is our government doing about getting back to where they belong

Currently I am in "discussions" with the one my son had an accident with. Passed all her passport and entry stamps to the relevant people. Last entry stamp 2021 on a 3 month auto visa. Looks like the owner of the vehicle ( her family who are SA citizens ) are now going to be held liable for all damages
Just waiting for a few things and will be laying charges against the driver

Was she not interested in a civil discussion to get a resolution? I am not a fan of being vengeful or punitive in car accidents because it's something that can happen to anyone.

Unless the other driver was drunk or shown exceptional recklessness.

People getting sick is something that can happen to anyone...if our people are being vengeful or punitive about providing medical care because those illegals are stealing jobs, women or flu jabs, then there is every reason to treat vehicular transgressors with the same attitude.
I hope an ID was demanded on the spot.

1. She is in the ocuntry illegally and should not have been driving on our roads at all , never mind without insurance
2. Insurance will handle their side. They have all the facts. I will claim my excess back from the owners. The insurance will claim all damages from the owner of the vehicle
3. Yes I will do my civil duty to make sure illegals do not stay in the country

EDIT: This is not being spitefull or vengeful
This is obeying the law. Either way I will have my car fixed.
But I have a duty to law to report illegals like every other south african citizen.
If you cant get that, you are part of the problem

As soon as I saw it was a zimbabwian license I asked for the passport and took pictures.

You actually need to wait a bit - it's easy to be an insurgent party in SA (look at COPE or even the EFF's first election) but it is when the 2nd round of voting for the PA comes due is when the PA may see weakened support. As I said last week, I'm 99% sure the DA will get back that Drakenstein ward in the actual municipal election and the PA have either gone backwards or stagnated in some small pockets where they have been in power with coalitions. The PA councillors won't prove to be the saviour of the communities to whom they represent. It's also interesting to me that in a by-election where the PA had already a surge in support (the Berg Rivier ward) before the by-election, they could not overtake the DA despite the much smaller gap between the two than in Drakenstein. That means it's easy for them to pick up the anti-DA votes in wards but it's hard for them to expand much beyond that.

In the municipal elections, there were far more parties to vote for than in the by-election and thus it won't be simply a two-way fight between the PA and DA, which should benefit the DA in most places as they are a far more reliable brand and get much more air time.

I hear you but I am particularly interested in the response of the two doomsayers, maybe they did not mean the DA death is going to come from the PA, they can elaborate further on what is it that they thought would kill the DA after going into a coalition with the ANC and if the death is currently in progress or have they changed their minds.
