Lol, You sound annoyed, do you right wingers always assume people are clueless about these things? Or is it because you think you are the only ones who can manage Wiskunde at 40% to qualify for a technical course?

Verwoerd really did a number on you.

Is everyone who is white and disagrees with you a right winger?

A person who exhibits right wing views obviously, and I can assure you @Major Boredom is a well known, shameless right winger, don't even waste your time trying to defend his honour, he is going to embarrass you.
Says the left wing terrorist
It may surprise you I have no afrikaans blood, only started being financial independant after apartheid, never had any handouts from anyone in government
Im actually a moderate in terms of thinking and am totally sick and tired of the theft and incompetance that has completely destroyed a beautiful country.
That you seem to enjoy defending and deflecting for those who are perpetrating that tells me all I need to know about you.

But you don't need 60% or more for technical college, y

Im not annoyed , nor am I afrikaans. I dont even speak that language with any degree of comfort.
And if you go read my post for comprehension I never said what you are insinuating. That is teh left wing in you showing itself again.
I used 60% because those are the stats available.
Education department is very lacking on giving comprehensive stats.

Find another hill to die on.

Nah, was just curious how you define a right winger, as I believe you have labelled not only him a right winger but others too around here.

If you dont agree with champ you have right view views, therefor you are a right winger
Almost makes me feel I need to start wearing kahki shorts and shirt. Can almost see people I know dieing with laughter then

Nah, you are just lazy or your googling skills are at 30%.

Close to 50% of all matriculants have the minimum requirements to enroll for technical course at a technical college, even at that revered strictly Wanatu Technical college.

So as you can clearly see, we are not short of young people who qualify to be trained in the technical fields.

Technical college requirements have always been lower to allow the less academically gifted access to tertiary education.

Technical colleges (I went to one) had pure maths and science. The pass mark was 50% for theoretical subjects and practical subjects such as metalwork, fitting and turning, electrician work, welding, sheetmetal work and boilermaking were either wrong or right. A trade test had to be passed to become an artisan. Many who were not academically challenged but whose parents had no financial means to send them to university ended up there.

Maybe go do your research properly
I have in the past shown who owns what in the chain
I have in the past shown the major shareholders of Naspers.
The largest of whom is IDC with almost a quarter of the shares
As well as far as I recall there is also a large BEE ownership.
If it was truly a mouthpiece of teh DA you comrades in IDC would have put a stop to it

So no , you are not based in reality
K. 🙂

Give me a list of all the people I have labeled as right wingers and I can prove to you that they are indeed right wingers.

It is simply a white lie that I label any white person I disagree with as a right winger, I just don't beat about the bush and go around corners when I do encounter a right winger, I look at them straight in the eye and tell them they are right wingers.

So what point are you making exactly or what is it that you disagree with from what I said?

Or is it just a comment?

More BS please Mr Left Wing Terrorist

On Science
Only 124,686 matriculants of 832,993 wrote science. ~15% . 75.6% of those passed ( 30% pass mark ) . Now we are down to 11.3%
So just based on Science alone only about 9% of matriculants ( rough extrapolation from 30% to 40% ) ( Which is not the same requirement accross all colleges ) would be eligable
On Maths
Only 255,762 wrote core maths , 30% . Of those 177,705 passed ( at a mark of 30% ) , so 21% at 30% pass mark , so probably 18% at 40%

Based on the above only 9% of matriculants , assuming everyone who passed maths also passed science , would have been able to enrol for technical subject at TVET . Not 50% like you claim

Most of those who passed maths and science would have had decents shots at univeristy, so that 9% would be a hell of a lot smaller.

We wont go into the 50% pass requirements of tvet. That would weed out the majority of all entrants who start at N4
When I did mine we started with 2 x classes at N4 , by N6 were less than 10 of us left
