Yeah, it doesn't say much really. Apparently Steenhuisen wants to shore up his position before Congress next year and so wants to put more of his allies in Cabinet positions. The deputy finance minister, Ashor Sarupen, is seen as close to Gogo and might be axed. He also wants one of the ministers to be coloured (probably with an eye on minimising the loss of votes to the PA). Also apparently the hold up is that he wants to include more people from the Western Cape, but the people he wants aren't MPs, which would mean other MPs would have to resign.

If you insist, but I do take it with a pinch of salt based on how you insist about VAT at the time. When tvets post numbers for intakes I can argue with you

You can't use TVETs intake as a measure though, enrolling at a TVETs costs money, only those who can afford to enroll will be reflected by the intake numbers, spaces there are also limited, that's the reason there is so much scramble at registration, too many qualifying applicants and not enough capacity, to accommodate them.

nsfas is not only for university
Most tertiary students these days seem to get funding . Something else that is new since 1994. Wasnt the norm before that

And this is major reason why I laugh at Malcom when he carries on about free tertiary

1.2 million of 1.8 million students are funded via nsfas. Weighted heavily on university.
Also tertiary is not a right.
So probably most of university is funded , which defeats all the arguments
In fact if universities were free they would probably get less than now

There's also a lot of people who are at university but not should be there. Even though I was in one of the programmes which required a high entry requirement (an A minimum for Maths & high overall aggregate), I wondered how some people got into the programme as they didn't appear to be putting in the work. Don't get me started on the few elective courses I did with Humanities students, where more students bunked the entire course (except for assignments!) than attended lectures.
