Do I think she has a chance of being mayor? Yes. Do I think it is a slam dunk? Nope.

Will JHB be saveable with another 5 years of mafia/glm at the helm? No.

Going by the general vibe in the citizenry though, the ANC is not even isolated and alone, they are reviled.

She can have a million interviews, the media can promote her all they want, oksalayo the people of Joburg are the ones who are going to vote, and we have enough self respect, there is no room for Zille here.

Let's be honest, I know you are at least capable of that, the DA is not going to get the majority needed to govern alone, if we both agree with that and knowing that the biggest parties in no particular order will be the ANC, DA, EFF, MK, ActionSA.

Who of those parties do you see agreeing to having Zille become a Mayor?

Mr Facts Unlimited, listen properly now, there is an oversupply of matriculants who qualify for technical courses at TVETs, that's a fact, we have more learners who have passed maths and sc9with a minimum of 40% required for enrolment at TVETs.

Nothing has changed from your time, the bar to enroll at TVETs is still as low as it was when Verwoerd was telling you you were special.

They probably won't get a majority, I agree with that.

But the ANC is definitely not getting a majority either, and nobody is exactly running to be their friend after they collapsed the city. And it wouldn't surprise me if they fall to 3rd or 4th largest like they did in KZN. Even Herman is sober enough to start distancing himself. The EFF and Al-Jamahaha is also complicit in this collapse so they will probably take a hit too. The DA will get whatever they get. So that leaves MK as the dark horse.

The way it looks to me is everyone is isolated from everyone else. Nobody wants to be friends with each other and risk the further political fallout if they can't fix it. The DA is the only one putting their cock on the block with some kind of plan, whether anyone wants to be their friend or not...

Everytime she opens her mouth or tweets, she decampaigns herself and the DA. 🤣

All we have to do is sit and watch as she burns her own little chances of being Mayor. To think she just started her run in media and already controversy surrounds her, by the time 2026 comes around, she would have tanked even that little 0,01% chance she and the DA had of taking Johannesburg.

So Zille will be rejected by all those parties, at least you accept that.

Maybe if the DA humbles itself and tell Zille to go back to Cape Town and put forward another candidate, then they can be able to conjure a coalition with the likes of EFF and ActionSA, but you are going nowhere with Zille.

The ANC is more likely to form a coalition with any of those parties than the DA, would you accept that?
