Definitely, birds of a feather and all that. Which is exactly why all of them are likely to take a hit, we've all experienced this great coalition of ANC, EFF, ASA, PA and Al-Jamahaha. This isn't Tshwane, the collapse was quick and fast, and it happened under these parties.

You need to live in Joburg to experience the mood, nobody is trusting them again except their die-hards. This leaves MK as the dark horse and nobody wants to work with them either...

Zille will kill the DA properly rather than allow any other person to be seen as being a more successful leader than she was, that's what she did with Maimane, the party was on the up and she went out of her way to sabotage it.

She is an exceptionally mean woman.

The DA will likely beat the ANC. The problem is that most of the other parties are likely to go with an ANC coalition again. The DA only have the FF+ to rely on. And perhaps ACDP. The others are parties who like to have cushy jobs and the ANC would offer them more than the ANC and no risk of having to account.

And everyone in Joburg knows this. They've seen exactly what we get when the ANC and these parties get together.

The racism and apartheid angle isn't working this time, nor does anyone care about how unlikeable Zille is. What they care about is a functional city that works where they get basic services. This is why there's so much chest pains...

List of people who dislike the DA and are unlikely to work with them in future coalitions:

ANC
EFF
ActionSA
MK
PA

The only people that seem to be good with the DA or atleast tolerate their arrogance in government are the FF+ and BOSA, parties which also pull low votes meaning the DA doesn't have the right friends to rule Johannesburg or ever come back into national government when they are kicked out of the GNU or leave themselves when the ANC brings in the EFF and/or the MK, ActionSA and Co.

Thanks for a meaningful engagement, in summary, the chances of Zille becoming mayor of Joburg are not very good.

Also imagine Squirrels disappointment when they aren't the major partner and then pretend to be the opposition and get schooled by the DA properly.

Lol. Pathetic. Mmusi - for the first time ever in a national election - lost the DA seats. He needed to go. Also despite media support from the usual suspects, he was pulling the DA into too much of a left-wing direction.

Note how DA supporters are avoiding the question, they have begrudgingly admitted that Zille is not going to get a majority, but they don't want to face the other elephant in the room, what happens after not getting the majority, who is going to give her the majority?

Perhaps you should figure out more pressing questions, such as why the ANC can no longer rely on places like Soweto to give them 75% of the vote...
