SA Politics Thread Part 11: The GNU Normal

List of people who dislike the DA and are unlikely to work with them in future coalitions:

ANC
EFF
ActionSA
MK
PA

The only people that seem to be good with the DA or atleast tolerate their arrogance in government are the FF+ and BOSA, parties which also pull low votes meaning the DA doesn't have the right friends to rule Johannesburg or ever come back into national government when they are kicked out of the GNU or leave themselves when the ANC brings in the EFF and/or the MK, ActionSA and Co.
But your President praised the DA!!!

Viva DA Viva!!

Nothing better than a good cup of @TheChamp tears on a monday. Champo have you booked your tickets yet to your DA education camp or did the doctor say it was unsafe to fly when experiencing heart palpitations?

Will you cry if the ANC agrees to work with her?
The ANC works with the DA nationally, I have no problem with that, in fact I am the first person here who suggested it, much to the annoyance of a couple DA supporters.

I have a problem with Zille and yes, I would have a massive problem with a working arrangement that makes her the Mayor of Joburg.

Would you be ok with Dada being mayor?

A lot has changed since my time. I went to a Technical College, something I doubt you have. The technical colleges of those days were plentiful, as were technical high schools, as they fed the mines and industries of South Africa with scarce artisans.

South Africa has deindustrialised since then, reducing the need for artisans. We used to build our own trains, power stations and military hardware, remember? It's why the army is running 40+ year old armoured vehicles.
The entry requirement is still 40% in Maths and Science at matric, nothing has changed, no matter how much you wish to be special.

Zille has to change her approach and develop a thicker skin. From this brief clip, she didn't do her (or DA) any favors.

I don't entirely disagree but its not like Anele was being professional either, so it does kind of cut both ways.

She will never. The white supremacy is deeply embedded in her. The same white supremacy that tells the DA that they should lead South Africa while only commanding 20% of the vote share. They think the world revolves around them and were expecting soft questions.

I hope they continue grilling her like steak on her media tour. 🤣

This is around the country, not just a Cape Town thing. It might be segregated, but it's misleading to allude to it being race related. The country is segregated by class, or Paul Paul's son-in-law wouldn't have bought a mansion in Constantia and Waterfall...

Can you imagine Pauls son in law lowering himself to live in the same integrated neighbourhood as uGogo?
