Wouldn't make a difference. The US have it but you still need the power of one of two party state to win an election.

How exactly? Unless we opt for a single round system (where you can win with 30% of the vote, like the attempted couper in SK, Yoon did)...

The best option IMO is two-round presidential elections. To break the "party uber alles" thing. For example, with this system, people could vote against Ramaphosa and still vote ANC in legislative elections, or the same with Steenhuisen, etc. Independents would have a better chance...

Being illegally in the country is a crime, so looks like we have a nice stalemate.
