I wouldn't be too sure. Lots of speculation that Steenhuisen could be replaced at the next DA federal congress. His position isn't as secure as you may believe. There's also a difference in opinion between DA ministers and ordinary DA MPs in terms of the staying in the GNU and there are far more of the latter. However, having read Tony Leon's latest book, it's clear the DA's participation in the GNU will only be broken if DA donors don't want it to continue.
