Why would Gayton go? The ANC don't reprimand non whites for racist remarks. Besides I dont see anything racist in Gayton explaining context.

Not surprising. I'm not coloured myself but being in the WC, have interacted with many coloureds and some of their views about black people are not too positive. Of course, some on the political left only believe that white people can be anti-black but that is quite a naive view. I'm not surprised that Gayton as a coloured nationalist would have such views.
