I still remember Champy was quite enthusiastic about it...now...crickets on this particular event. Even he can see it's turning into a joke although he won't outright say it as he will feel he is betraying the ANC...

The General also made political allegiance announcements to a foreign military power, something no member of the SANDF is allowed to do. The SANDF is supposed to be apolitical. Even discussion of politics by SANDF members is forbidden.
