I'd accept the huge salary, write a book about the shenanigans, need to do nothing, and retire rich while you all squabbled about me thinking I'm someone else. Maybe I should apply?

Nice to see that the investment also integrates a local entity.

I know the Chinese are spreading their wings but everything they use is brought in from China, so local companies within the automotive industry have started to struggle as the legacy brands (who made extensive use of local companies within their supply chains) divest or lose ground to the Chinese.
 
Some more information about VSL manufacturing since it looks like there is interest.

From liquidation to industry leader

VSL Manufacturing was born from the ashes of Stateline Pressed Metal (SPM) in Queenstown (Komani), which went into liquidation in 2018.

It was founded by two former SPM employees, Vuyo Skweyiya and Deon van Zyl, who secured funding, purchased SPM’s assets and established VSL later that year.

No, there are no paramilitary forces in the SA Constitution. The SAPS mandate is policing within the borders of SA using minimum force to safeguard life. They have jurisdiction over civilians and powers of arrest.

The SANDF mandate is to respond to threats to the sovereignty of the Republic. They use maximum force to safeguard the Republic. That's why the police do not have cannons, missiles, submarines and fighter jets. The SANDF has no jurisdiction over civilians unless a state of emergency is declared. They have no powers of arrest above the powers of a citizen's arrest.

If the SANDF is deployed to assist the SAPS without a state of emergency, they are under the direct control of the SAPS.
