I found that to be a duality of how history was taught at my school. We had teachers who said that Apartheid was "long ago" and should be "moved past" but equally had teachers explaining how deep seated English vs Afrikaans division was due to the Anglo Boer war.

I had a teacher in High School that tried to convince us that Apartheid was good (this is the 80's).

This is one reason I have such a big issue with how BEE and "restitution is needed"
Those responsible for apartheid are mostly no longer economically active anymore.

Then it is a case all "whites" are blamed, no matter if they or their parents were in South Africa at the time or even financially active then.
Then let us not go into the case that in 1994 there were only so many "blacks" ~30million
Now there are ~51million in 2025 , a 66% increase.

I may feel some sympathy for those before 1994, but I sure as hell feel nothing for those post 1994 , including those that have come from the north. The ANC has failed them in the last 30 years and I dont see why I should have to do anything for them especially since I was not economically active in 1994

The pool is shallow. Not sure why Schreiber would need to work on his charm. His charm is no worse than GHL's. I would have thought they'd go for maturity instead of experimenting with GHL. Winde would be my choice but he prefers to play safe.
