But honestly, when has this putting people on the spot ever worked for the DA, they have been putting people on the spot since the Zuma days,, they are still a 20% party, surely at some point they will have to find a new strategy?

Oh it will have a bearing on the results without a doubt. But if they tank like is expected then I expect them to double down on the stupid at a provincial and national level.

Wishful thinking that the MK, EFF, IFP are going to defend the ANC in a MONC? I think it will pass easily. The harder part is who will replace him. At this point the worst possible premier will result in the best possible LGE election outcome for the DA

I honestly don't mind if you don't answer, did you notice that someone answered the question I posed to you? That's how things work on the forum, life is too short to be bothered with answering all questions posed to you by random strangers.

So relax, you will be asked questions, you can answer or not answer, life goes on.

My point was that it is not outside the bounds of reality that a majority of parties would agree to oust that useless waste of space Panyaza to give them a leg-up in the upcoming LGE.

I also hope you don't mind that I think you're a useless corruption peddler and criminal sympathizer who is a paid shill of the thieving ANC. And the entire forum agrees.

That's how things work on the forum, life is too short to be bothered by it.

So relax, you can always go on another meditation retreat when the ANC become a 20% party next year. Life goes on.

Doesn't matter, it contributed to the ANC's downfall. It shifted public perception that the ANC was defending corruption by keeping Zuma there. Just like the ANC were forced to defend their stance on the budget by saying that they also didn't want tax increases, but then they voted for tax increases. All this shifts perceptions, and perception is everything in politics.

As for strategy, we just need to make peace that a lot of people are stupid and/or bigots. No strategy is going to work on them, their mind is already made up. How else would Zuma still get 15% of the vote after everything...

There was a lot of hoo-hah that voters are stupid. It's what the ANC has relied on for a long time. The reality, as pointed out by Frans Cronje, is that the quality of life for the vast majority of ANC voters got better right before they gave them huge majorities.

The quality of life for everyone has gotten exponentially worse since then, and the ANC's vote share will drop accordingly. It is not rocket science and has already happened. They have not turned around the economy, have in fact tanked it further, and any more perceptions that they are in a complete shambles and unable to govern will just bring about their 20% election target quicker.
 
Cameron's questioning of Cele was disappointing for a guy who is supposedly so clued up in policing. Weak.

Any thoughts on media not reporting on malema comments on not calling for white genocide yet during court case?
