SA Post Office Strike

Still waiting for my parcel to be scanned into the country to get a local tracking number. Sigh...
 
post office is still in shambles. Posted an item on the 13th. As of today it still hasn't left the city.
 
ambroseg1. On the 13th.. the strike was still hectic. Chances are that it simply wasn't scanned but was sent.

was it going to somewhere he local in SA ? or international ?

If International, if it goes via Boat then.. it will only show once it arrives at their borders (if it left SA)

If it was via Aircraft, then normally it would take 3-4 , maybe 7days if it was really far and doing a route from country to country.
 
JIMC is still not operating, SAPO are lying when they say it is operational. Just been there, not letting people in and it is still chaos.
 
Ebay items that I had bought and paid for in July arrived this morning.
I had completely given up on receiving these items.
But thankfully they finally arrived.

All my items bought through eBay and sent via USPS still shows the status of leaving Jamaica, NY... Not even been scanned as yet in SA.
 
Miracles never seas to amaze, so after a week of silence from sapo (emailed them asking about my package) today I got this email:

Good day XXXX

Thank you for your email.

Item in question was sent to The Reeds Post Office on the 20/11/14 it should be there.

I sent over a friend to the post office as I couldn't make it, he said at first they just bought up the tracking details on there side that said it was still in "Amalinda" , then he showed them the email and they checked the back.... AND THERE IT WAS!!!

I was there on Friday (21st) and they did the same thing, just showed me the tracking, it was probably already there in the back :/

TL : DR Got my package, just hang in there , there is still hope.
 
I got a slip yesterday for an item sent by YesAsia. No indication of company which sent it, though, hence I had to phone it.
 
I went to fetch my parcel yesterday afternoon at Capemail hub (that's the one i from USA. Some startrek CCG stuff)

When i got home at 5, i see there's slip for me to fetch a parcel at my local post office (about 3km from my house) . So went to fetch my second USA parcel.

Only one's that i have outstanding, is the one's from China still (but it was DX.com, so they normally take 6-8weeks to get here. They will propably arrive in the next week or two in SA.
 
Got one of my parcels yesterday, that I ordered from ebay. So there is definitely movement
 
Still nothing going on in Joburg.

Still waiting for an order from 19 July, plus a few after that.

IMO the piles are so high that it is strictly LIFO.

Received two EMS parcels I ordered on Oct 14/15 (1 day apart) within a week of each other (Nov 21/28th), there was no movement till around Nov 20th. Order I placed on Nov 14th is also now on it's way and should be here Dec 2nd. I think things with EMS are going well, as for items I ordered in Oct without tracking there is still no word but I am hopeful.

My packages still has not been scanned months after leaving the US. Someone told me to stop being negative, it is possible that the USPS sent mine by bicycle. So, could be another decade or two before it arrives in SA.

Try entering the TN on the SAPO site otherwise if it's in the country the call center will give you the local TN.
 
So eventually I recieved a parcel that was send in August. It looked liked the parcel came from some dumpster. It was covered in brown stains and seems like it was in water. Luckily the content was fine.
