My Japan Post RR article from 5 October has finally arrived in JIMC. Japan Post is also investigating. Hopefully Japan Post-tan will kick some SAPO as* at least by email.

I won't ever use standard post again, I'll rather pay premium with DHL.

Nah, it's all good again. DHL would cost me 3x as much. Not worth it. In addition extra charges for customs clearance. And someone has to be available to collect.

Overall I've had more and longer delays dealing with couriers.
 
Just a wonderful warning.

Anyone waiting for things from Joburg International mail centre has a lot of fun coming up.
According to the person I just spoke to after waiting for many, many minutes; nothing is going out at the moment as SAA isn't accepting SAPOs containers/packages (can't remember exactly) because of reasons and it will only be resolved around next week.


So, congratulations all of us who are waiting, we just won another week!
 
I finally got the package I ordered in September. It was damaged, but thankfully superglue fixes most things. I'm just grateful that after sitting in a black hole for 2 months (left China 19 Sep, only showed up on SAPO systems 24 Nov), I actually got it.

Did your stuff go through Joburg? Just wondering as I really need my package before the end of Jan : /
If my luck is to get one of 10 bad boards in a 100k run, I get SAPO shipping the replacement...
 
I eventually received my parcel sent from Johannesburg on the 24/25 September today. I live in Pretoria.

You got to be kidding. You should pay a surcharge to the union in support of the poor oppressed postal workers. All those special snowflakes with their indispensable skills who simply have been abused financially for so long by the apartheid legacy of the PO.
 
I just got a notification for an item from Australia that has taken four months. It was expensive so I'm relieved!
