SA Post Office Strike

Lol! Every time I order something from overseas **** like this just pops up.
 
CWU to move ahead with Post Office strike

JOHANNESBURG – The Communication Workers Union (CWU) says it will go ahead with a Post Office strike that is set to take place in Gauteng next week after workers were told that they will only receive half their salaries tomorrow.

The union says it has written to the Post Office to pay up the full amount to avoid early protests.

The Post Office has been battling financial problems with claims that some of its money has gone missing.

The union’s Clyde Mervin said, “We wrote a letter to the company informing them that they must pay workers because they’ve got contractual obligation for those workers.

“They're breaching that contract of employment as far as we’re concerned and if the company doesn’t listen they must feel the rod and might of these workers.

Aawww man, my package that was ordered on 12/08/2015 is still somewhere in South Africa, it can only be traced to South Africa by Malaysia post, from there it's any ones guess where it is. But still, I'm hopeful if you got yours.

Private entities have already taken over most of it. Not affordable. All other countries have a functioning postal service.

It's easy to sort out. Fire the buggers that don't want to work. There are people that will do the work for them for R4000 a month.

The point is there are people that really need the money that will work for far less than what they are demanding.

That may seem that way but once they start trade unions, or some friends or some journalist or some varsity lecturer from some anti-poverty think tank will tell them they're being ripped off and should earn at least R6-8K.

And FYI the post office doesn't work in zim either.
 
My sister just popped in before a seaside weekend. On the way here she stopped at the main post office to post a letter to friends in Australia. Guess what: the post office has no stamps. And they don't know when they'll get.

Kinda sums it up.
