SAA faces big issues

Privatisation might have been an option a few years ago but that ship has sailed. It's hard to see why any corporate entity would want to invest in SAA.
The SAA Pilots Union has sat comfortably with negotiated salaries cast in iron
THEY as the ONLY people that could have stopped the airline flying have done NOTHING !
Sadly I have lost ALL respect for SAA pilots
Happy to draw high salaries off the blood sweat and tears of ALL South Africans
SURELY they MUST have seen the writing on the wall -- LONG AGO !

There must be NO MORE money thrown down THIS shytehole
The planes can be returned from whoever they are leased from and the WHOLE SAA staff given marching orders
ACSA will still survive as OTHER airlines will STILL need functioning airports !

Sorry government prefers its existing policy of pouring endless multi-billion rand bailouts into the SAA incinerator

Yeah, I knew it, you can't be objective, something is clouding your judgement.
Yes, the ANC is failing to provide an objective platform

My judgement isn't clouded, but unfortunately there is no comparison due to the racism of the ruling party. Thus I have no other metric with which to judge objectively. Capisce?

Unfortunately that means all the debt guarantees would become immediately payable by the SA taxpayer. They should rather keep the business entity, retrench almost all staff, and outsource the entire operation to another airline.

Thought it's about all execs. I see it's about CEO's. Off the top of my head, there's Mark Barnes at SAPO.
Well that makes everything alright then. Sorry forget what I said, The SEOs are an example of how all businesses should be run.

You're quite obsessed with villifying white people aren't you? Racist much?

That's because the ANC only appoints black executives! How could I make it about anything else when an inherent racist policy only appoints CEOs of a single race?

I'm not being provided with an alternative baseline.

Suit yourself. I was going to ask you to point this out but why bother?

Nobody will touch it with a bargepole. The union fallout from having to cut the excess employees will paralyse any new owner into bankruptcy.
I agree, but it's probably a case of everyone loosing a job or only a portion. Not even the unions are this stupid, well maybe they are who knows.

131 SOEs and you give us Mark Barnes. I think my point about the ANC appointing only black CEOs is fact, not opinion. But sure, seems pointing out that fact makes me racist?

1) Off the top of my head... There are more non-black execs.
2) Who called you racist? You're the one who called me racist.

I am sure there are debt covenants that would also prohibit such a plan of action. Either way, we are royally fu$ked unless our dear government grow a pair and do what is necessary to trim the fat, get rid of all the expensive BBBEE requirements on supply contracts and actually run it like a business instead of a political tool. Same goes for ESKOM.

In other news, some pigs have been spotted flying (and I am not only referring to the newly minted MPs and ministers). In other words, ain't going to happen while the commies and assorted hangers-on are in charge.

SHOULD / WOULD / COULD
In other words NEVER going to happen !

Suffer a "flesh-wound" NOW
or
Next time take a bullet to the heart !

Most people are completely unaware of how close SA is to the -- Fiscal Drop Off !

ZIMBABWE IS KNOCKING ...........

Best thing for everyone would be to sell SAA. Because it obvious nobody knows how to run that company anymore...

I would think a company like Emirates, Qatar or one of those big airliners could turn things around.
