"Strike" is an oversimplification. From what I've heard, it's a lot more technical and the SA pilots association have some very good lawyers attending to their case.I get why, what I doubt is the efficacy of their methods.

The thing is the pilots as well as the other staff were offered severance packages last year which only the pilots rejected. It is my understanding that that was a 'take it or leave it' offer from SAA as part of the business rescue process whereas the pilots requested the severance package to be larger despite the airline not really being profitable currently. Whether or not they will receive another severance package offer remains to be seen."Strike" is an oversimplification. The pilots greed may cost them dearly, they not going to get a lot if SAA gets liquidated. The thing is the pilots as well as the other staff were offered severance packages last year which only the pilots rejected. problem is SAA is government, they know they can drag this out for years, and eventually get something sizable out.The pilots greed may cost them dearly, they not going to get a lot if SAA gets liquidated.
Good!In my view their actions will probably kill SAA.
That's what you get when you hire anc bee pilots instead of real pilots. So was the knobhead who couldn't do math also one of those world class pilots?
I mean, what is 90 tons between friends.
Pravin doing well in implying the pilots are racist. Should help matters
Ron should lay off the crack and methanol.
I know you are passionate about this topic but your arguments are not really valid.this is why pilots get paid high salaries & privileges
when the **** hits the fan! who do you want at the controls?
1) a computer?
2) a low paid / low hour / over worked / disgruntled pilot?
3) a well paid / high hour / well rested / motivated pilot?
Unions and striking are integral parts of a genuinely free market. It's the people who hold most of the capital that hate unions, but they also hate the regulation vital to maintaining a free market. So, the capitalists of MyBB are now suddenly in support of these striking pilots? How commie of them.
Has done that years agoif the airline goes belly up.
