SABC through DVB-T2 on HD TV?

You need a need both UHF and VHF so it's best to get a panel antenna. You can get them anywhere, I got from Mica. I'm using a HDHomerun Duo and it works fine. I've also used the Giga T230 USB sticks and they're also ok, but a bit for me they were a pain to keep neat.

You can either look for the frequencies on the net but they're all different depending on where you are, so the best thing is to let the software do a full scan. There are only 2 for each region that are open in any case for eTV and SABC.
Is the HDHomerun Duo picking up the EPG?

Is SABC Encore channel still running?
Not on DSTV anymore. Channel no longer available.

SABC is notoriously bad for providing a reliable and up to date EPG. Only DSTV and OVHD provides an EPG which they control based on the poor info they received from the SABC. But at least the two of them maintain the EPG system.

I'm wanting to get my DVB-T2 system up and running again, more out of curiosity than anything.
Finding a grid aerial or any UHF aerial these days...

What device would pickup sa satellite tv?ie.sabc1,2,3
I’m looking to run it on Plex or Emby server
Thanks
A satellite decoder. 3 options, DSTV, OHVD, Sentech.
Order of preference depends on your other needs.

OVHD is once-off, payment.
Semtech's DTT satellite decoder is once-off
DSTV is a monthly subscription.

I have the Amonet DVB-T2 box. The only etv channels on terrestrial at the moment are etvHD, eExtra, eMovies+ and eToonz. I believe the Freevision box picks up the same selection of etv channels.

Have you got a dish? I'd install a twin LNB with OpenView and Freevision decoders. That should give you the best of what's available for free.
Are you able to record for longer than 2 hours on the AMO DVB-T2? My folks have one and they cannot do scheduled recordings and when they do on-demand recording, it stops after 2 hours

Is this a glitch with AMO or how it is?

Has anyone been able to connect a digital tuner to Plex and get the Live TV working?

I have the Amo DVB - T2 box and recently emailed SABC because there is no EPG for their channels only Etv channels - I can record any programme from the EPG (scheduled recordings ) with no issues - the manual recording is only two hours

Awesome, thanks, will give that a try.

Will be good to have the SABC EPG working

Is anyone using Plex?

I heard there were ways to create the EPG from XML file

Anyone been able to do that?
