I was with Sainet before Afrihost. Had no problems at all. I will also go back to them in April for the uncapped service.

Gian, don't slip now. We are loyal but we want/need/wait for a uncap offer. PLEASE !!!!!!!!

There is uncapped offer at the moment, I.E. RIGHT NOW, you just have to get the line rental as well.... (which takes ages :-() those needing just the data have to wait till april...

How??? The max that you should get is 40KB/s, unless you meant 330Kb/s in which case is a bit less than 40KB/s.

Think he means 330/8 which is 41.25KB/s right? These K k, B b ps kB/s etc are confusing at times. So now what's difference between 'Kb/s and KB/s' as CrAzYLeGs noted? Kilobits / Kilobytes?

Today was my first day ever of having UNLIMITED INTERNET IN SOUTH AFRICA!!! (I lived in USA for 8 years but that doesn't count) Sainet seems great so far. I have been using them for almost 15 hours now. The speed seems a tiny bit faster than Afrihost, I wasn't expecting that. My torrents used to go at an average of 28KB/s but now they average at least 30KB/s and I have seen 34 many times today. speedtest.net confirms that my speed is a hair faster than Afrihost (Full line speed) but my ping is a tiny bit worse. Average ping of 165 instead of the 105 I used to get with Afrihost. This does not seem to be a problem at all, my wife is talking to her mom on Skype right now and it sounds perfect.

K means Kilo - like Kg, Km - not sure if it has to be capital though
b (bit) = 1/8 B (Byte)

Got SAINET Uncapped 384 today. Amazed at the speed.

Speedtest to Jozi

Down - 0.45Mb/s
Up - 0.10Mb/s

Not too shabby for a 384 line...

Hit a snag with the DSL...

Downloading and browsing are awesome...

But my WoW latency is roughly DOUBLE what I was getting on iBurst...

Isn't DSL supposed to have better latencies than wireless??

Edit: It's now gone up to 10x my iBurst ping.... this is awful...

Hey TrueTenacity,

Can you do a trace route for me to the Wow server - and we'll escalate the issue.

Btw - Please PM me your SAINET username.

Thanks

Looks like there are some fluctuations in the latencies, jumps from 270ms to 416ms, thats pretty huge. You would want it stable at 270ms all the time.
