SAIX Outage

Woah, just checked this thread after getting a notification of replies, can confirm the issue is back. I suspect due to Monday and BW is going to obviously be in demand for everyone at work so we may get slow speeds but it is under a 128K line speed :p at times.

Anyone with some inside info care to tell us if someone is getting fired at Telkom or something more dramatic :).
 
Oh come on! It's feels like dial-up now - by which, I mean, it's still barely usable!

Internet was up to nooo good this weekend...

This is what SAIX had to say about Friday.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your SAIX Fault/Query has been resolved.
This FQ will be closed automatically within 5 days if no further reply is received from you.
The resolution description follows:

Hi Caching DNS servers was unable to reach root name servers, causing a severe buildup of stale sessions. To resolve, the stale sessions had to be cleared by restarting the DNS applications and load balancers. Regards Saix Helpdesk.

Anyone still having issues.....have clients complaining on really slow access on SAIX accounts.
 
Still got issues yes, no change since the start of the weekend. Gmail barely loads for example

Yep. Since about 15h00 on Friday my trading connection to my broker in Chicago started dropping every few minutes.

Still doing it this morning and I have eliminated any other possible causes via the broker help desk.

My frustration is growing day-by-day.

I've got a few big tournaments coming up this week, hope everything is sorted by then.

I have logged an FQ with SAIX with a list of my affected clients.....

Will see what the response is....
 
several of our clients using Saix are getting major packet loss on their lines,

Lines are still syncing but doing anything is just impossible. Had so many calls on the support desk, its getting beyond annoying trying to explain to clients what is still wrong. Our engineers are busy investigating and trying a few things but think its time to change ISP accounts on their router and see if its ISP related.

Mybb you guys got any news on this???? I see mybb had the story about Pretoria outage but what about the rest of us poor idoits stuck on saix
