Why would Telkom not allow dual-sim functionality for the Samsung phones, however they sell Huawei with dual-sim capability??

I called them to ask and their excuse is "this is imposed on us by Samsung" I call BS on this obviously. Cell C is the only carrier to offer the Galaxy A50 in dual sim.

I was about to go and buy a Huawei because of this but now I am put off with the news on this Google/Huawei trade issue.

I also am reluctant to flash the phone to get dual-sim. Is it easy to do?

I purchased a S10e dual sim from a telkom physical store on contract last month.

If you purchasing via telesales they wont have it. Best go to diff stores and see which one has the dual sim samsung you looking for.

Edit: I read your post wrong, does the serial number of the phone you have end in F/DS or just F?
 
That is interesting, I tried two branches and their callcentre they all told me Telkom dont do Samsung in dual sim. I got it from Cell C in the end, serial ending /DS
 
Re dual sims....how to go about fitting another sim to my S7 Edge ?
The bracket takes the first sim and a sd card but wont take another sim ? Removed the sd but bracket is not correct size.?
 
...and is Facebook business Whatsapp worth the trouble of getting another number ?

You need to get a dual sim tray.
Only do this if you have access to imei writing hardware else you're wasting your time. Been there and got the t-shirt with my s7edge
