Yeah I know, back in 2019 I was paying R600 for my P30 pro with 1gb of data, oodles of minutes and and. Now the same contract gets me an A55 if that.

just to elaborate and not to harp on about this...

TELKOM A35 on flexon 4 (4GB data plus 100 mins) = 399 x 24

Vodacom contract below... with SPLIT 4.8 gb data = R699 x 24

Next level after that is 7.2 GB split for R879... seriously vodascum... suck 2 Ds

Will only take a few minutes max. Get a Megsapp sim https://megsapp.com/ at Mr Tekkie or online and buy 25gb non expiry data for R349 at R14 per gig. Then pop it into the second slot, set it as default for data and Bob's your uncle.

Somehow they are charging less for the A35 vs the older A34. R 449 for the A34 on Flexon 4.
 
Need a replacement for my A30s . It's just thr battery . Should I replace the battery? Nothing wrong with the phone. 4 years old tho

I did the battery and screen on my daughter’s A30S. Was relatively painless and still going.

Between the A55 and S23FE the screen is bigger on the A55, plus the Exynos is almost as fast as the S23FE one.
The S23FE does have wireless charging, telephoto camera, better USB port (things like display and and), faster CPU. But the battery isn't as good

The battery scores on GSM arena were quite telling yes.
I also like the fact that you get Dex on the FE... will make a nice alternative to a laptop for the wife
