I just got myself a new Galaxy A5 :)

So far, I must say that the build quality is excellent and I'm extremely impressed. Touchwiz is nice and is getting better with every major update :).

I'll post some more thoughts on the phone as time goes by - hopefully I'll keep it for longer than a month or two:erm:.

Just a question I would like an answer to: Is this phone covered by ADH (Standard, Core or Premium)???

If the build quality on the A5 is as good as you say it is, I cant wait for the S6... Just in time to upgrade from my S4. :D

That sucks ass.

I somehow doubt the S6 will have ADH either. I think it was Samsung's way to cover themselves from the backlash of supposed poor build quality perception for their plastic devices, although my S4 has survived a multitude of drops with no cover (with hardly any damage)... although I have always had a toughened glass screen protector for extra piece of mind.

I hope you got it for cheap.

Heard on the radio that Vodacom has it on cheapest contract for R389 a month! Crazy!

Should be max R259 a month on Smart S, as it's a midrange phone & not even the specs of a Galaxy S4.

Contract prices have gone through the roof over the past two years. The only decent contracts are with Telkom.

Look, I can sort of understand the Galaxy S5 contract pricing, as it's a premium phone with Premium ADH, but lately Samsung is really getting rediculous with their pricing....or rather the mobile service providers?

A bit of both. Cash prices for Samsung devices have shot up as well - not unique to SA either.

No ADH on the A5.

There is only ADH on these devices.

That's disappointing :( EDIT: The Note 4 isn't on that list and it's got ADH so maybe there is some (a very little bit) hope

It's truly amazing! I've had an S4, a Note 3 and currently have an S3 as my second phone... This surpasses everything by a long shot! Compared to the iPhone 5S and the Nokia 930 I had, its on par if not better :)

I agree, its overpriced! Traded my Nokia 930 for it :)

This is great to hear! :)

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact @ R399 a month (Vodacom) is a far better deal than this.

Mmmm....I suppose it could have been nice with Windows Phone 10 on it?

*Must admit my S5 is fabulous with Lollipop on it.

I'll get another WP when 10 is at its later stages :). Didn't upgrade to that as I knew I'd sell the phone
