Has 22 fixed the dialler issue?

I upgraded to V700XXUBNA3 and it seems to have fixed the delay I had when looking at the watch face and delayed notifications.

Root and upgrade to Null tomorrow.

Thanks for the links btw :)

Pleasure mate, just take your time and get it right

And no, hasn't fix but chatting to guy on xda seems to think it's my phone setting and nothing to do with Gear, but I can't find any setting that make it default to BT headset when dialing

Okay found the problem and sorted it out. Everything is now working 100%. It was voxer that was messing me around.
It's great, so if anyone wants a hand I can walk them through it.

I am having a bit of a problem with my Gear.

When the Note 3 screen is locked, and I try and make a call with the GG, the call gets dropped, and "call ended" is displayed.
When the GN3 screen is unlocked, calls from the GG go through.
Answering calls works either way.

Anyone got a solution for me?

Try going into dialer, phone. then call settings....
Go to call accessories and set the bluetooth headset settings to.... Outgoing call conditions - make calls even when device locked.
Hope that makes sense. Let me know, think this could solve your problem

Cool thanks for info, my note got Gear manager update on Thursday when I opened it. Also see no difference.
Getting Null 22 worked out well, battery lasted 22 hours with moderate to heavy use. It's finally working well.

Change list is the same as the NA3 that's currently on my Gear, so no need for me to update to something that's exactly the same as what's on my Gear. It's working great without any issues whatsoever, so the NA6 is probably just a "official" version of NA3.

hi
to those , who want to clearify diffs ,
take into account NA3 is a" leaked" Rom .
and NA6 is a official release rom ( a BTU release )(NA6 is also a later release ).
or otherwise use best Rom + Gear Manager version , that works for you, on your Gear !
i prefer to use latest,if i have problems /issues ,
i revert back to previous used ..be it Gear Manager or Rom .
good luck ,if you want to try this.!!

hi Dom1n8tr1x ,
can you supply link to "change list "that you refer to in your post ,plse .!
i would appreciate it, as i thought Samsung normally don't supply a changelist ??
(Google it, but could not find it )
Then i see you changed /edited your post #49 an hour after my post( 08-02-2014 at 06:36 AM.)
( to basically confirm what i said in my post#50 (...an hour before 8-02-2014 at 05:40 AM)
i stated that info was only for those members interested
and if you are not interested ignore my post
good luck

Updated Gear Manager from version 1.6.132002 to 1.6.132701, and can't see any difference in the 2.
Now we just have to wait for the newer firmware to come out.

How far can one be from their phone in order for the gear to still communicate with it?

I have found that about 20 metres if you have no interfering objects, like walls with reinforcing that can act like a ferrous cage.

Leaving my phone in our lounge, I have reception through most of our double storey townhouse, apart from in our kitchen, which is behind a reinforced wall.

I rooted my Gear last night!!!!
Its awesome. I cant believe I waited so long to do it.
It works exactly like standard if you want, using the touchwiz launcher, or you can use Nova or Apex launcher to run the watch
Will give more details later, having some battery issues but all good so far.

Hi

What are the advantages of rooting?
What can you now do with the gear that wasn't possible with oem firmware?

Just curious as I have a gear and not sure if I should root

Thanks... I'm tempted to take a contract that includes the gear.

It basically makes the Gear a stand alone Android device, like a normal phone or tab. Internet, typing, playstore, all the apps....... So on.
And can use it as normal with all notifications. Either with touchwiz or different launcher all together

Ok so I have rooted and installed Null. The issue now is when I bring the watch upto my face it shows me the Nova launcher desktop instead of the watch face. I switched back to Touchwiz out of necessity and can't switch back as I cant see any apps other than stock.

You need to change a setting in the launcher you using, Nova. I don't have the Gear on today so can't check. Will do it tonight and let you know.
When you were installing Null in Aroma, did you select the motion control button option?
Also check xda thread for explanation the answer is in the first post of installation process
